Hello and welcome to my site! I'm glad to see you here.
First thing first - let me introduce myself. My name is Alex Moiseyev, I'm a software engineer and live with my wife and two kids in eastern Massachusetts for last 12+ years.
Photography became my hobby since I was a kid. I was amazed by a miracle of transforming something that I have just seen myself into a picture that can be shared with the world. I went long way through different kinds of cameras and different techniques. At the moment of building this site my gear was entry-level Canon DSLR and computer, which made me pretty happy about ability to manipulate with my photos (although good old point-and-shot Canon SD950 was and still is around in case I need to capture something on-the-go).
I like all kinds of photography, but landscapes and flowers are my favorites. And, of course, I love to shoot pictures of my family and friends. My wife and kids are my best models - especially if I can make kids to behave for at least 5 minutes :)
Since kids started taking dance and music classes spectrum of my photography extended to dance competitions and musical recitals, wich put my equipment at a stretch and forced upgrading to faster lens and faster camera body. But in return I got much better performance in low-light conditions and with fast-moving objects. Few recent galleries from such events contain pictures that can be purchased in larger sizes (say, 12"x16") without loss of sharpness (and no, watermarks in the middle of the picture will not
Traveling around and seeing different places is my other favorite pastime. My dream is a trip around the country, and I hope for it to come true sometime soon! What we managed to achieve so far is to travel with a trailer from Boston all the way to Florida and back
in 2011. The trip took us 6 weeks but it was time really well spent seeing different places with all family together!
This site represents both of my hobbies.
Site continues to grow, so please make sure to come back from time to time and take a look at new additions.
